TESTING: Windows Live Writer
May 27, 2009
It seems windows is finally catching up to Google/Firefox. For some time now i have been useing Scribefire( a plugin for Firefox) to do what Windows live is just trying to do…
Here’s to innovation fuelled by competition, may Microsoft remain on the backfoot
My Personal Epic.
May 20, 2009I recommend everyone try this at least once,
I am currently listening to the sound track to LOTR (Lord Of The Rings for those of us not in the Know) while doing work.
Can i tell you, it is amazing, everything i do feels like an epic earth changing adventure… I think we should endeavor to go through our days like this. It will put a whole new light on what you do… I for one Find it extremely fun
As i type now, there is chior singing, setting the mood as i write in my journal chronicling what has transpired while the quite beat of the drums in the background seem to anticipate the return to the collusal battle that awaits me within the realm of visual studio when i close this window

How to be her man; Tip # n
May 20, 2009This is a topic i CLEARLY know jack SH(aving cream) about but i wish to share my foolish thoughts…
Topin # n
(Aside: I use ‘n’ instead of a number because n represents a variable. Due to the nature of women the number things one may need to do to keep her happy may change from time to time. At other times it is unknowable (almost)
)
What to do when you piss her off.
I, like most men, have a knee jerk reaction when we have done something to upset that significant other, we go out of our way to address that whatever it is that we have done to cause this strife within the relationship. I have found that many of these “emergency” actions we take cannot be maintained and so we often fall back into a routine that will prob lead to the same thing happening again.
In this environment, the concept of “sustainable and visible change” is important. Yes, the knee jerk is inevitable, but one must learn to look long term. Identify the problem and see how you can adjust to accommodate its resolution. Please note, however, that the key to the “sustainable” part of this equation, is the fact that the change has to be something you can be comfortable with doing…. If not you may chafe.
The visible part is very important as well. PLEASE NOTE, BEING VISIBLE DOES NOT MEAN SAYING “LOOKING HONEY I PUT BACK THE TOILET SEAT” EVERY TIME YOU PEE. Instead be subtle, it needs to be noticeable, so that she knows you are making an effort. Some partners will see this on their own accord… if you are that fortunate, YAY for You. For others… its not so easy. The key to tooting your own horn is not letting people realize you are the one blowing it.
Having said this, I am tempted to say that the visibility part of the equation is more important than the sustainability, but that is a lie. Such a tact will only delay the inevitable. Likewise, to do the opposite will just bring about the end that much sooner.
If it were that easy, being in relationships would be boring. You must learn to do what sometimes seems impossible, i.e. both.
hmmmm
May 20, 2009This is my first Post post lyme, but i just dont have the energy to write about it, I’ll just say I survived it, people said they enjoyed it.
There were times i SWORE i was never gonna go to another lyme again. But you know what. I cant wait for next year, and i want to head the committee this time.
Already I am trying to get feedback as to what went wrong. In my estimation, this year’s lyme was ‘OK’ not great nor crapy, just OK.
Loads of work and tiring… I have to admit, however, that all in all i enjoyed myself
But next year! Next year i want it bigger and better, I finally got a glimpse of just how “interesting” it can get (thanks Rae). I realized that i approached the lyme as just a weekend to play games…. But alas it has potential to be sooo much more. I hope next year that i can raise the bar……
Let the creative juices flow.
ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!
May 12, 2009I am not a work-a-holic.
I just love getting work done.
-Mark Hylton
Those statements are true. Accomplishing a task is like cocaine for me, i need it to live.
As of today, right now in fact, I find myself frustrated, worried and in a near panic yet having loads of fun.
Currently on my plate is more work than i am sure i am able to pull off. And yet I cant complain because the truth is the prospect of accomplishing all these tasks is almost orgasmic no matter how impossible it may seem.
The hard part of having this much things to do is determining where to start….. I have from now until 9pm to get work done and i cant begin to imagine where to start… i could almost cry… and laugh.
Of course to deal with this, organizing ones self and writing down all the tasks ahead are useful, but i often feel like time spent compiling and sorting my “to do” list is time wasted…. real work could have been accomplished in the almost 1 hr it took me to list and prioritize all the things i have to do…. :-/
The truth is I hate work but love getting stuff done, this is my cocaine.
Lately
May 1, 2009… i’d see a smile and wonder what does it hide.
